E. Kwasi Amponsah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Theatre Arts of the School of Creative Arts, University of Education, Winneba. He was educated at the Ghana Secondary School and Pope John Secondary and Junior Seminary School both in Koforidua for his ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels and the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, Legon for his Diploma, Bachelors and Masters degrees. He also has an MBA from Kensington, UK. In 2015 he graduated with a PhD in Arts and Culture from the University of Education, Winneba.
His areas of interest are mainly researching into Ghanaian Theatre but also interested in play adaptations. The courses he handles at the university includes Event Management at the final year level. He has published widely and authored many plays including King Musu, Emancipated Captives and Reminicing.
